A game consists of 3 matches. Winner of a match is the one who leaves the mine with the most gems. A match consists of several rounds. Each round consists of a planning and an action phase.
Planning phase: There are several options: Dig, blast (2*dynamite needed), scare another player (spider needed) or leave the mine. Players who leave the mine save their lives but are inactive until the end of the match. As soon as one player leaves the mine, there are maximally two more action phases before the match ends. If you want to go onto a field where you know the content of the treasure, you need a drift set.
Action phase: Collect your treasure, place a tunnel card and distribute new treasures.
Scoring: If the treasure you are collecting is a dragon, you have lost the match (-2 points).
Everyone else in the mine dies (-1 point), only the ones who have left the mine survive.
The survivor with the most opals wins (+3/+4 points).
