Aim of the game
Escape from the volcanoes and the creatures lurking underwater or in the deep forest, but above all beware of the other adventurers ... there are no rules when it comes to survival!
Whoever brings the most treasure points (numbers on the meeples) to safety wins the game.
Preparation
Place 1 of your adventurers on each empty island tile in a clockwise direction. Repeat this until all your adventurers are on the game board. !!! Attention !!! As soon as the game begins, you may no longer look at the treasure values on your adventurers! Try to memorize them when you place them on the game board.
Place 2 rafts per player after the adventurers. Again, one after the other and clockwise.
Different phases of a turn
You take turns in clockwise order. Your turn consists of 3 phases.
1st action phase: Move adventurers and/or rafts and use the abilities of tiles that you can get by destroying island spaces during the game.
2nd Flooding phase: Remove 1 island tile and look at the reverse side.
3rd Danger phase: Roll the danger die and move 1 creature.
After you have completed all 3 phases of your turn, it is the turn of the person to your left.
Moving adventurers
During the action phase, if you can still rescue adventurers, you may make up to 3 movements, which you can divide between rafts and adventurers. 1 movement corresponds to 1 adjacent space.
by foot: The adventurer's start AND end point is either on an island tile, a raft or the mainland.
Swimming: The adventurer's start OR end point is on a water space. An adventurer may only make 1 movement per turn by swimming.
Raft: Move an empty raft or a raft you control to an adjacent water space without a raft. To control a raft, you must have at least as many adventurers on it as
other players (a tie is enough). Note: If an adventurer is on the same space as a raft, place him on the raft immediately,
if there is still room on it
Abilities
In addition to movement, you may use any number of abilities at any time during your action phase by playing island tiles.
Flooding phase
Remove any 1 island tile from the thinnest tiles still on the game board. The different types of tile gradually disappear: First all the beach tiles, then all the forest tiles and finally the mountain tiles.
If there are adventurers or creatures on the removed tile, place them on the water space where the tile was.
End of the game
The game ends immediately as soon as you reveal the 3rd volcano tile or all adventurers have been rescued or removed.
